Opole Landscape Park Complex is a budget unit of Opole Province. The Complex encompasses three landscape parks, each of different physical and geographical type. The “Opawskie Mountains” LP is a mountain park, “St. Anne's Mountain” LP is an upland park, whereas the Stobrawski LP is in turn a lowland park. All these parks cover altogether 8% of the general area of the province and include the most valuable fragments of native nature. Landscape parks are protected also because of historical and cultural values and great landscape values of Opole region. As the protection regime is not very strict if compared to national parks or nature reserves, more social functions can be fulfilled to greater extent. And these are learning, cultural, scientific and didactic, educational or tourist and leisure functions. At the same time the parks allow for fulfilling the economic function, i.e.: forestry, agriculture, recreation and other functions which require appropriate quality of natural environment.
